Weeks - Letting go

Emily's last moments with Blue -
Misty Trails Bloodhounds

The hard part of breeding, to let them go.....
Novia is off to her new home.
Thankfully we get to know about our new puppy owners, and she will live a
wonderful life.

The snow made the Malahat Summit a dangerous trip over the
mountain for children and puppies with the new fallen snow, so we took the safer
alternate route, "The Ferry".

This way it was fun, with No snowy mountains to trek.
We are off to the airport to meet the new owners and a private plane.

Novia with her new family

Moca's Novia arrives to her home, to meet the rest of the family.
She has settled in very nicely....... "I think they are going to keep her" for sure....

Moxie meets her new owners who are VERY excited to
take her to her new home!

Annie's New Family

Annie will be a therapy dog, and now lives at a Lutheran Church Children's
Camp.
Thom and Annie out working around camp on the tractor.

To the right is the Gold Brindle pup in her new home, Salida's Mascara of
MistyTrails aka Cara, owned by SalidaDelSol Havanese, bred by Mistytrails
Havanese. She is having a playdate with
Salida, a Cuban Havanese. See more of this pup on Therapy Dogs at Work.
She is now a wonderful little Therapy Dog!

Although this section is based on a
whelping of an English Mastiff, it also contains good general whelping
information in large breed dogs. You can find more whelping information in the links above. The links below
tell a story about Sassy, an English Mastiff. Sassy has a wonderful temperament.
She loves humans and Adores human children. An all around mild mannered,
wonderful Mastiff. Sassy however is not the best mother towards her puppies, she
is not rejecting them, she will nurse them when a human places them on her to
feed, however she will not clean the pups or pay any attention to them. It is as
if, they are not her puppies. This litter is getting moms milk, with major human
interaction, manually giving each and every pup what they need. In return, the
pups will be super socialized and will make remarkable pets, however the work
involved is astounding. It takes one dedicated breeder to keep this situation
healthy. Thankfully this litter has just that, a dedicated breeder. Read the
links below to get the full story. There is a wealth of info that everyone can
appreciate and benefit from.
